Lake Conroe Fishing Report (The Conroe Courier)

Fishing on Lake Conroe is good but dodging the wind and the cold fronts has become a way of life. The surface temperature of the water is running 58 degrees in the main lake. The water is clear. The level yesterday at 8:45 a.m. was still little over a foot below pool at 199.90 feet.

Forget the Recession, Lets go Fishing

My top five “fishing holes” for spring trout fishing.I’m not a fancy fly fisherman; I’ve tried it and just can’t get the knack. I like to sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings while I fish. I also like to keep and eat what I catch. I based my top spots on these factors; great fishing, great views and the ease of getting there.

Eventually though, I see the limit removed and a no-size-limit regulation going into effect in a political trade-off to allow the unimpeded flow of Nor-Cal water into the …

Fishing Report: Weather change affecting fish (The Clarion-Ledger)

The great fishing reported all during the recent warm spell will likely end with the arrival of cooler temperatures and increased winds this weekend. So, we’re not really reporting on fishing as much as trying to guess how the changing conditions will affect the bass and crappie.

Fishing line (The Sacramento Bee)

TOP PICKS SACRAMENTO RIVER, Sacramento–Sturgeon fishing was still good last week, although high flows and lots of trees coming down the river made boating a real dicey situation. Bank fishing was pretty good, however, and even a few striped bass were caught, in spite of the tough conditions. Anglers are anxiously awaiting flows to drop, stabilize and clear. That should trigger the start of …
