The North Glasgow Fly Dressers decided to have a winterfest day out fishing for Pike on a trout loch not far from Glasgow. “Stuffed full of em’” Alberto said - I thought it may be too cold - “it is not about the fishing” he said - “it is about the company and chat - about being sociable”. Of course - he bolted after his bacon roll to leave all of us casting like maniacs in sub zero temperatures. To be fair good chat, hot soup and scotch pies n’ beans more than made up for the lack of fish.

Tulsans have a good excuse to join Trout Unlimited celebrate its 50th anniversary, and they can start that celebration on New Year’s Day by fishing the first trout pond to be established within Tulsa’s city limits, weather permitting.

Smallmouth bass are pound for pound one of the strongest fish in freshwater. Lake Erie smallmouth bass are HUGE. They’re big, powerful fish with a hearty disposition.Just ask Kevin Hamer and his crew from Central Indiana. I had the opportunity to fish with Kevin and several members of his family for Lake Erie smallmouth bass aboard the Erie Quest.
