Crab Orchard - Crappie are the best bet. Fish are holding at scattered depths, depending on cover. Minnows and jigs are equally effective. Catfish are being caught on leeches and cut bait. Fishing action remains fair. Bass anglers are still picking up good numbers of fish over shallow cover. Spinner baits, soft plastics and topwater baits are all producing fish. I’ve never known any one that actually held an official fishing record before, but that may change soon. Mike, a friend of a friend who I’ve fished with a couple time recently caught massive freshwater drum (or sheephead) in Ontario, that is set to be the new provincial record! Check it out.
