My top five “fishing holes” for spring trout fishing.I’m not a fancy fly fisherman; I’ve tried it and just can’t get the knack. I like to sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings while I fish. I also like to keep and eat what I catch. I based my top spots on these factors; great fishing, great views and the ease of getting there.

Michigan has 11,000 inland lakes, and over 36,000 miles of rivers and streams to fish. Migratory runs of Steelhead and Salmon enter Michigan Rivers to spawn in the Spring and Fall, providing great Michigan Fishing opportunities on the Manistee River, Muskegon River, and Pere Marquette River. Steelhead, Salmon, Trout, and Bass are great to fly Fish!

The Winnerweb fly-fishing challenge will officially launch at the Spring Fly-Fishing Show at the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire, on Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March, by the UK’s pre-eminent fly fisherman Charles Jardine and the Winnerweb team.

The Fly Fishers of Northwest Florida in conjunction with PJC will conduct the PJC Fly Fishing Class. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at the PJC Pensacola main campus beginning on March 4.

Fly fishing was once viewed as a sport for men. This may be due in part to the early elitist status of the sport. Even nostalgia tends to favor the masculine involvement in fly fishing.
